This weekend, I had the pleasure of selling flower wraps at another dance recital. It's probably my favorite thing to do in floral design...working with excited parents and grandparents to create something special for their little ballerinas.
As I was working, there was a woman setup beside me selling recital DVDs. At one point, she looked over at me, smiled, and said "You look like you really enjoy what you're doing. You seem to glow." I stopped what I was doing, smiled, and thanked her.
But it also made me stop and think. I really do enjoy everything that I do now. I love making jewelry and accessories. I love working with flowers. I love working with young children. I truly do love my occupations right now, and I feel like I have officially reached my "sweet spot". I may not make millions, but I'm happy.
And that counts for a lot.
